Lead-free reflow machine drives forward
The lead free reflow soldering machine, originally installed in March 2005 is being fully utilised for customers requiring the latest in soldering technology. It is a Seho FDS6400-3.6 Nitrogen capable convection reflow oven.
Nearly 7m long, with a 3.6m long heating section this new oven marked a step change in reflow capability for us. The oven features 6 heated zones, two chiller zones, and a flux management system. With a dual mesh belt and edge rail the Seho is capable of handling double sided PCB assemblies in both leaded (PbSn) and lead free (SAC alloy) upto 400mm wide.
As part of our environmental policy, as with other equipment that requires flux fume removal, the Seho extract is handled by a dedicated Purex Powerflow cube. By purifying the extracted air locally and returning it to the working environment this retains heat within the building and allows greater flexibility in shop floor layout.
